 Your sex?

Male 16 23%
Female 52 75%
Other 1 1%

Interesting that over a half of the vampires who answered were females 75%, only 23% were males. This might mean that mostly female gender carries or gets awakened to vampire state or males are more antisocial and didnt wanted to participate in this poll.

Sphynxs cat comment:
A large number of guys operate under the “I can’t let anyone think there’s anything WRONG etc. with me!” – so not wanting to answer the poll, for whatever the reason, is entirely believable.

Also 1% of the vampires used plural gender, meaning they meant their gender as male and female combined.

Your location?

USA=63,76% (44)

Norway=7,24% (5)

Canada =5,79% (4)

England=5,79% (4)

South-Africa=4,347% (3)

New Zealand=2,89% (2)

Ireland, Australia, Holland, France, Estonia=1,449% x5 (5×1)

Vampires populations is widely populated over all kind of different continents, higher percentage of them are living in in Northern America  20,07% and Europe 18,826%. Meaning you have higher change to meet a fellow vamp in Europe or in North America regions.

Your age?

10 till 20 =14,28% (11)

21 till 30 = 30,43% (21)

31 till 40 =33,33% (23)

41 till 50=8,69% (6)

51 till 60=7,24% (5)

61 till 70=1,449% (1)

Majority of vampire population in this poll is between ages of 21 till 40 (63,76%).

Also we had some youngsters (10-20y) 14,28% and older generation (41-70y) 17,379% who participated with this current poll.

Its good that we got such great variety of vampires here, because by this way, we have better understanding what is normal and whats not to vampire by looking at all age groups. Also older vamps give us information, what might or might not affect us as we get older.

What kind of vampire are you?

Sanguinarian (blood feeder) 23 33%
Psi (energy feeder) 18 26%
Hybrid (blood+energy feeder) 27 39%
Other 1 1%

Sanguinarian vampirism is a type of vampirism in which the vampire requires blood in order to remain healthy. Generally speaking, the vampire will ingest blood of others. When asked, most vampires do not feel that their own blood will suffice, and they thus have a “donor”, who serves as a means for getting blood. Sang donors are individuals who are willing to provide their blood through safe blood-letting means. (Some communities call these donors, “black swans”).

Most often, sanguinarians need to feed at least once a month, usually more, or their body begins to deteriorate. The amount of blood a sang needs depends on the individual. Some sanguinarian vampires need only a few drops once every couple weeks, while others need more than that, either by feeding more frequently, or consuming more blood. Usually the symptoms that the vampire experiences will vanish for a short period of time, before they once again need to feed. Symptoms of sanguinarian vampirism include (but are not limited to):

  • Blood cravings
  • Metallic taste in mouth
  • Fatigue
  • Lethargy
  • Hunger pains
  • Thirst that won’t go away
  • Irritability
  • Brain fog

Some sanguinarians may experience other, more severe symptoms, such as loss of control, and “bloodlust”, where the body begins to try to fend for itself, so to speak. However, these are rare, and largely controversial cases. Not all sangs experience these severe symptoms, and many never let it get very far, due to the extreme, sometimes intolerable feelings of sickness that most sangs suffer from. However, it is also highly recommended that one considering vampirism seeks a doctor first, in order to make sure that they do not have a disease, such as diabetes or anemia, that needs to be treated in other ways.

Psychic Vampirism is a form of vampirism in which the vampire needs to take in more energy than most non-vampires do. Though the exact cause of psychic vampirism is yet unknown, it is suspected that psychic vampires burn through energy too quickly, and then for whatever reason, cannot compensate easily themselves. For this reason, they need to feed on non-physical energy, such as chi, or prana. This can be done a number of ways, such as feeding from ambient energy (the energy given off in crowds at a concert, for example), or feeding directly from a group or individual. Generally speaking, it is strongly advised that the vampire feeds from a willing donor, if they are to go about the direct feeding route.

If a psychic vampire does not feed, they will experience symptoms, such as fatigue, lethargy, and headaches. Of course, many of these symptoms imitate those of other conditions, many of which are known medical conditions. It is always advised that someone suspecting that they might be a vampire see a doctor first to rule out other existing conditions, such as anemia.

Psychic vampires have also reported other more “metaphysical” symptoms, such as seeing, or sensing tendrils in their aura.

Generally speaking, when a vampire feeds, the associated symptoms will vanish for a period of time before they reappear once more, resulting in the vampire needing to feed again. This time period in between can vary, but most psychic vampires are advised to feed daily. Usually a psychic vampire will feed unintentionally on their own at a lower level than they would consciously. This is what keeps the vampire from essentially “passing out”. However, some vampires have difficulty in consciously feeding.

Hybrid Vampirism is a form of vampirism in which the vampire can feed upon blood and energy. In truth, while many Hybrids prefer to feed via blood, they do not have to have blood. Blood is merely preferred because blood fulfills the thirst more quickly, and, perhaps, because of a greater physical contentment that cannot be achieved through psi-feeding.

Other kind of vampirism is a form of vampirism in which the vampire feeds upon other energy sources but by different ways then psi, sanguinarian or hybrid does.

Skin infections and rashes can indicate that some bacteria or viruses are affecting body. But in case of vampires the inflammation of the skin can be caused by sunlight. Phynx cat comment on it, I knew that some drugs have that effect but I never had heard about sun-screen doing so.
Sun rash/inflammation can also be caused by reactions to drugs – either taken internally, or applied externally. Just read the side effects, you’ll often see photosensitivity in the possible reactions. And also….sunscreens. Namely those with the chemical oxybenzone/avabenzone/etc etc. “thin” styles. I got a “surprise” reaction from a sunscreen that had previously been ok – I’m apparently now sensitive to the oxybenzones + sun exposure.

Urticaria commonly referred to as hives, is a kind of skin rash notable for pale red, raised, itchy bumps. Hives might also cause a burning or stinging sensation. Hives are frequently caused by allergic reactions; however, there are many nonallergic causes. The majority of chronic hives cases have an unknown (idiopathic) cause. In perhaps as many as 30–40% of patients with chronic idiopathic urticaria, it is caused by an autoimmune reaction. Acute viral infection is another common cause of acute urticaria (viral exanthem). Less common causes of hives include friction, pressure, temperature extremes, exercise, and sunlight.

Dermatitis (or eczema ) is inflammation of the skin. Atopic dermatitis (aka infantile e., flexural e., atopic dermatitis) is an allergic disease believed to have a hereditary component, and often runs in families whose members also have asthma. Contact dermatitis is of two types: allergic (resulting from a delayed reaction to an allergen, such as poison ivy, nickel etc), and irritant (resulting from direct reaction to a detergent, such as sodium lauryl sulfate, for example). Some substances act both as allergen and irritant (wet cement, for example). Other substances cause a problem after sunlight exposure, bringing on phototoxic dermatitis. Both urticaria and dematitis can be caused by sunlight, vampire percentage affected by both 18%.

Cold sores are small blisters that develop on the lips or around the mouth. They are caused by the herpes simplex virus.Herpes simplex virus 1 and 2 (HSV-1 and HSV-2), also known as human herpesvirus 1 and 2 (HHV-1 and HHV-2), are two members of the herpesvirus family, Herpesviridae, that infect humans. Both HSV-1 (which produces most cold sores) and HSV-2 (which produces most genital herpes) are ubiquitous and contagious. Total percentage of vampires being infected by herpes virus having herpes and cold sores 10%.

Warts are caused by a viral infection, specifically by one of the many types of human papillomavirus (HPV). There are as many as 10 varieties of warts, the most common considered to be mostly harmless. It is possible to get warts from others; they are contagious and usually enter the body in an area of broken skin. Some types of the HPV can cause cancer. Total number of infected in this vampire population 8%.

Acne vulgaris (or simply acne) is a common human skin disease, characterized by areas of seborrhea (scaly red skin), comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules (pinheads), nodules (large papules), pimples, and possibly scarring. In adolescence, acne is usually caused by an increase in androgens such as testosterone, which occurs during puberty, regardless of sex.  Acne more often affects skin with a greater number of oil glands; these areas include the face, the upper part of the chest, and the back.

Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) is the anaerobic bacterium species that is widely concluded to cause acne, though Staphylococcus aureus has been universally discovered to play some role since normal pores appear colonized only by P. acnes. Acne occurs most commonly during adolescence, affecting an estimated 80–90% of teenagers in the Western world.

20% of this population have had acne during their lifetime. What I suspect that can make acne occur among them are: higher % of testosterone in vampire body, testosterone builds up also muscles. Excessive oil glands, that produce more oil making skin smoother and younger looking but also can get acne more easily because of it. And colonisation of S. aureus on our skin (~6%), that can both protect our skin against other bacteria but can also cause infections more often among us.

Dandruff is the shedding of dead skin cells from the scalp. As skin cells die a small amount of flaking is normal; about 487,000 cells/cm2 get released normally after detergent treatment. Some people, however, experience an unusually large amount of flaking either chronically or as a result of certain triggers, up to 800,000 cells/cm2.

According to one study, dandruff has been shown to possibly be the result of three factors: Skin oil commonly referred to as sebum or sebaceous secretions. The metabolic by-products of skin micro-organisms (most specifically Malassezia yeasts). Individual susceptibility and allergy sensitivity.

13% of vampires had dandruff, the cause of that can be excessive excretion of skin oil, irritation by yeast or individual is sensitive to something. Also it might occure more often on us, because of the higher quantities of skin cells that have been shredded by night and day.

Which of the following sexually transmitted diseases have you had or been diagnosed?

Chlamydia 5 7%
Genital Herpes 4 6%
Genital warts 1 1%
Gonorrhea 2 3%
Syphilis 0 0%
None 58 82%
Other 1 1%

Majority 82% didnt have any sexually transmitted diseases, chlamydia was reported in 5 times (7%), genital herpes 4 times (6%), gonorrhea 2 times (3%) and genital warts 1 time (1%). There where no one who was infected/diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. This gives 3 possibilities. First: especially sanguinarias and pranic vampires have been very careful with testing their donors and havent infected with HIV because of that. Second possibility: there might be infected vamps, but they dont know it yet. Third possibility they might be immune to HI-virus, meaning they might have a gene mutation (CCR5-delta32) or  Hiv-1 monoclonal antibody VRC01 or have higher levels of cytotoxic T-lymphocytes (CTLs). The third possibility occurred, when two sanguinarian vampires wrote to me, how they unknown to their donor background, had drank HIV+ donors blood and one had sex with a donor. This might indicate, that there might be some truth in some kind of resistance in some individuals. Still I precation all blood feeding vampires to be very careful.  Dont think you`re safe because in 90`s, several old-school blood-feeders who had contracted HIV through feeding, one had later on developed AIDS, others developement right now is unknown. (Octarine Valvur)

The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a lentivirus (slowly replicating retrovirus) that causes the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), a condition in humans in which progressive failure of the immune system allows life-threatening opportunistic infections and cancers to thrive. Infection with HIV occurs by the transfer of blood, semen, vaginal fluid, pre-ejaculate, or breast milk. Within these bodily fluids, HIV is present as both free virus particles and virus within infected immune cells.

Natural resistance to HIV-1 infection, while rare, does exist, but is not yet proven to exist in vampire population. First, there are individuals who have been exposed to HIV, in some cases repeatedly and over long periods of time, who have remained HIV-uninfected. Such “exposed-uninfecteds” have been reported among commercial sex workers, individuals having unprotected sex with seropositive partners, infants born to HIV-infected mothers, health workers with accidental occupational exposure, intravenous drug users using contaminated needles, and hemophiliacs exposed to HIV-infected blood. Second, there are individuals who have become infected with HIV but whose disease has not progressed or has progressed very slowly compared to the average experience. Criteria defining these “long-term non-progressors” have varied among reports but usually include survival with HIV infection for ≥7 years with consistently low levels of HIV-1 RNA and little or no loss of the primary target of HIV, CD4+ T-cells. Long-term non-progressors have been identified among various groups, including homosexual men, women, injection drug users and children.

As most of the vampires feed upon uncooked meat or blood it gives us higher risk to be infected with parasitic infections, so this question was meant to determine how much of us, has contracted such infections. Also I added other parasitic infections, to see can vampires have common parasites.  Most common lice infection had 23% of the vampires, next non parenteral infection was bedbugs  with 3% and chiggers with 4%. Trichimoniasis is parasite that is sexually transmitted, so this was added just in case, to see how much of vampires (1%) have had it.  No one had food related parasites, which is a very good indication, also 61% didnt have any kind of parasitic infections. It might mean that either vampires are very careful choosing their raw cooked meats or blood. Or their digestive system has some kind of protective enzyme that kills parasites. Although if we see some of us have had pinworm 5%, that suggests that pinworm can live in us, their very common among children, passed by dirty hands.

Which of the following lung & respiratory infections have you had or been diagnosed?

Adenovirus 0 0%
Bronchiolitis 23 14%
Croup 3 2%
Influenza (flu) 40 25%
Pneumonia 20 12%
Sinusitis 19 12%

Other 7 4%

In this question I wanted to examine what kind of viruses and bacteria infect us the most. Human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a virus that causes respiratory tract infections, especially bronchiolitis, viruses are blamed 70% of the cases. Bronchiolitis have had 14% of the vampires.

Croup (or laryngotracheobronchitis) is a respiratory condition that is usually triggered by an acute viral infection of the upper airway. Viral croup or acute laryngotracheitis is caused by parainfluenza virus, primarily types 1 and 2, in 75% of cases.  Other viral causes include influenza A and B ,measles, adenovirus and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Croup can be lethal to younger children. In vampire population 2% have suffered group.

Influenza, commonly known as “the flu“, is an infectious disease of birds and mammals caused by RNA viruses of the family Orthomyxoviridae, the influenza viruses A, B and C.  Flu is one of the most common viral infection, as we can see 25% of the population have had it.

Pneumonia is an inflammatory condition of the lung affecting primarily the microscopic air sacs known as alveoli.  It is usually caused by infection with viruses or bacteria and less commonly other microorganisms, certain drugs and other conditions such as autoimmune diseases.. Mixed infections with both viruses and bacteria may occur in up to 45% of infections in children and 15% of infections in adults.Bacteria are the most common cause of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP), with Streptococcus pneumoniae isolated in nearly 50% of cases. Other commonly isolated bacteria include Haemophilus influenzae in 20%, Chlamydophila pneumoniae in 13%, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae in 3% of case Staphylococcus aureusMoraxella catarrhalisLegionella pneumophila and Gram-negative bacilli. A number of drug-resistant versions of the above infections are becoming more common, including drug-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae (DRSP) and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).In adults, viruses account for approximately a third and in children for about 15% of pneumonia cases. Commonly implicated agents include rhinoviruses, coronaviruses, influenza virus, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), adenovirus, and parainfluenza. Herpes simplex virus rarely causes pneumonia, except in groups such as: newborns, persons with cancer, transplant recipients, and people with significant burns. In my study 12% have had pneumonia.

Sinusitis, also known as rhinosinusitis, is inflammation of the paranasal sinuses. It can be due to infection, allergy, or autoimmune problems. Both smoking and second hand smoke are associated with chronic rhinosinusitis.Acute sinusitis is usually precipitated by an earlier upper respiratory tract infection, generally of viral origin, mostly caused by rhinoviruses, coronaviruses, and influenza viruses, others caused by adenoviruses, human parainfluenza viruses, human respiratory syncytial virus, enteroviruses other than rhinoviruses, and metapneumovirus. If the infection is of bacterial origin, the most common three causative agents are Streptococcus pneumoniaeHaemophilus influenzae, and Moraxella catarrhalis. Until recently, Haemophilus influenzae was the most common bacterial agent to cause sinus infections. Sinusitis have had 12% of the vampire population.

Strep throat is a contagious disease caused by infection with streptococcal bacteria.Though strep throat is the most common bacterial cause of sore throat, it is important to note that most cases of sore throat are in fact due to a viral infection (caused by a virus).  Around 18% have had strep throat.

Pertussis—commonly called whooping cough—is a highly contagious bacterial disease caused by Bordetella pertussis. Immunization against pertussis does not confer lifelong immunity; a 2011 study by the CDC indicated that the duration of protection may only last three to six years. This covers childhood, which is the time of greatest exposure and greatest risk of death from pertussis. Pertussis have had 5% of the vampire population.

Most interesting is a finding that 8% of the population examined have never had none of the illnesses mentioned above. This is a very odd, because every human being gets at least some kind of the lung or respiratory diseases during their younger years. Might this mean, that some of us are almost resistant for major bacteria and viruses or their hygiene is over the top from most of the humans.
As Sphynx Cat added, that 8% may have simply not recognized the medical terms for things like “the common cold” or “sinus infection”.

This is true, the missing 8% might be because of this, but then again, it might not…

Foodborne illness (also foodborne disease and colloquially referred to as food poisoning is any illness resulting from the consumption of contaminated food, pathogenic bacteria, viruses, or parasites that contaminate food, as well as chemical or natural toxins such as poisonous mushrooms.

More than 250 different diseases can cause food poisoning. Some of the most common diseases are infections caused by bacteria, such as Campylobacter, Salmonella, Shigella, E. coli O157:H7, Listeria, and botulism.

Foodborne illness usually arises from improper handling, preparation, or food storage. Good hygiene practices before, during, and after food preparation can reduce the chances of contracting an illness. Bacteria are a common cause of foodborne illness. In the United Kingdom during 2000, the individual bacteria involved were the following: Campylobacter jejuni 77.3%, Salmonella 20.9%, Escherichia coli O157:H7 1.4%, and all others less than 0.56%.

Food poisoning have had 38% of the vampire population.

General Guidelines to Prevent Food Poisoning:

  • Make sure that food from animal sources (meat, dairy, eggs) is cooked thoroughly or pasteurized. Use a thermometer to check the temperature of the food.
  • Avoid eating raw or spoiled meats and eggs. Check expiration dates on meats and eggs before purchasing and again before preparing.
  • Carefully select and prepare fish and shellfish to ensure quality and freshness.
  • If you are served an undercooked meat or egg product in a restaurant, send it back for further cooking. You should also ask for a new plate.
  • Be careful that you don’t let juices or drippings from raw meat, poultry, shellfish, or eggs contaminate other foods.
  • Do not leave eggs, meats, poultry, seafood, or milk for extended periods of time at room temperature. Promptly refrigerate leftovers and food prepared in advance.
  • Wash your hands, cutting boards, and knives with antibacterial soap and warm to hot water after handling raw meat, poultry, seafood, or eggs. Wooden cutting boards are not recommended since they can be harder to clean.
  • Avoid unpasteurized milk or foods made from unpasteurized milk.
  • Do not thaw foods at room temperature. Thaw foods in the refrigerator and use them promptly. Do not refreeze foods once they have been completely thawed.
  • Wash raw vegetables and fruits thoroughly before eating, especially those that will not be cooked. Avoid eating alfalfa sprouts until their safety can be assured. Methods to decontaminate alfalfa seeds and sprouts are being investigated.
  • Drink only pasteurized juice or cider. Commercial juice with an extended shelf life that is sold at room temperature (juice in cardboard boxes, vacuum sealed juice in glass containers) has been pasteurized, although this is generally not indicated on the label. Juice concentrates are also heated sufficiently to kill bacteria.
  • Be aware of proper home-canning procedures. Instructions on safe home-canning can be obtained from county extension services or from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
  • If you are ill with diarrhea or vomiting, do not prepare food for others, especially infants, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems since they are more vulnerable to infection.
  • Wash hands with soap after handling reptiles, turtles, birds, or after contact with human or pet feces.
    • Avoid soft cheeses such as feta, Brie, Camembert, blue-veined, and Mexican-style cheese. (Hard cheeses, processed cheeses, cream cheese, and cottage cheese are safe.)
    • Cook foods until they are steaming hot, especially leftover foods or ready-to-eat foods, such as hot dogs.
    • Although the risk of foodborne disease associated with foods from deli counters is relatively low, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems may choose to avoid these foods or thoroughly reheat cold cuts before eating.

Helicobacter pylori (commonly just called H. pylori) is a bacterium (germ). It can infect the lining of the stomach and duodenu and can produce gastric inflammation. The inflammatory response caused by bacteria colonizing near the pyloric antrum induces G cells in the antrum to secrete the hormone gastrin, which travels through the bloodstream to parietal cells in the fundus. Gastrin stimulates the parietal cells to secrete more acid into the stomach lumen, and over time increases the number of parietal cells, as well The increased acid load damages the duodenum, which may eventually result in ulcers forming in the duodenum. It is one of the most common infections in the UK although it is getting less common as time goes by. More than a quarter of people in the UK become infected with H. pylori at some stage in their life. Once you are infected, unless treated, the infection usually stays for the rest of your life. Commonly there are no problems caused by this infection, but some develop stomach and duodenal ulcers, non-ulcer dysplasia and stomach cancer.H. pylori is contagious, although the exact route of transmission is not known. Person-to-person transmission by either the oral-oral or fecal-oral route is most likely. Consistent with these transmission routes, the bacteria have been isolated from feces, saliva, and dental plaque of some infected people. H. pylori infection have had 4% of the vampire population.

Botulism  is a rare and potentially fatal paralytic illness caused by a toxin produced by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. Botulism can occur in a few different ways. The bacterial spores that cause it are common in both soil and water. They produce botulinum toxin when exposed to low oxygen levels and certain temperatures. Foodborne botulism happens when food containing the toxin are eaten. Improperly preserved food is the most common cause of food-borne botulism. Fish that has been pickled without the salinity or acidity of brine that contains acetic acid and high sodium levels, as well as smoked fish stored at too high a temperature, presents a risk, as does improperly canned food. Infants under one year should not be fed honey, a natural source of botulinum bacteria, as bacteria in the gut are not sufficiently developed.Foodborne botulism results from contaminated food in which C. botulinum spores have been allowed to germinate in low-oxygen conditions. This typically occurs in home-canned food substances and fermented uncooked dishes. Botulism have had 1% of the vampire population.

Lyme disease (Lyme borreliosis) is an infectious disease caused by at least three species of bacteria belonging to the genus Borrelia. Lyme disease is classified as a zoonosis, as it is transmitted to humans from a natural reservoir among rodents by ticks that feed on both sets of hosts. LD have had 1% of the vampire population.

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacterium responsible for several difficult-to-treat infections in humans. It is also called oxacillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (ORSA). MRSA is any strain of Staphylococcus aureus that has developed, through the process of natural selectionresistance to beta-lactam antibiotics, which include the penicillins (methicillindicloxacillinnafcillinoxacillin, etc.) and the cephalosporins. Strains unable to resist these antibiotics are classified as methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus, or MSSA. The evolution of such resistance does not cause the organism to be more intrinsically virulent than strains of S. aureus that have no antibiotic resistance, but resistance does make MRSA infection more difficult to treat with standard types of antibiotics and thus more dangerous.

MRSA have had 3% of the vampire population.

Some of the populations at risk:

  • People with weak immune systems (HIV/AIDS, lupus, or cancer sufferers; transplant recipients, severe asthmatics, etc.)
  • Diabetics
  • Intravenous drug users
  • Users of quinoloneantibiotics
  • Young children
  • The elderly
  • College students living in dormitories
  • Women with frequent urinary tract or kidney infections due to infections in the bladder
  • People staying or working in a health care facility for an extended period of time
  • People who spend time in coastal waters where MRSA is present, such as some beaches in Floridaand the west coast of the United States.
  • People who spend time in confined spaces with other people, including occupants of homeless shelters and warming centers, prison inmates, military recruits in basic training, and individuals who spend considerable time in changeroomsor gyms
  • Veterinarians, livestock handlers, and pet owners

Salmonellosis is an infection caused by Salmonella bacteria. Total procentage of infected in our population 1%.

Infections are usually contracted from sources such as:

  • Poultry, pork, beef and fish (seafood), if the meat is prepared incorrectly or is infected with the bacteria after preparation
  • Infected eggs, egg products, and milkwhen not prepared, handled, or refrigerated properly
  • Tainted fruits and vegetables

Shigellosis, also known as bacillary dysentery or Marlow Syndrome, in its most severe manifestation, is a foodborne illness caused by infection by bacteria of the genus Shigella.  Shigella can be transmitted through food, including salads (potato, tuna, shrimp, macaroni, and chicken), raw vegetables, milk and dairy products, and meat. Contamination of these foods is usually through the fecal-oral route. Fecally contaminated water and unsanitary handling by food handlers are the most common causes of contamination. Apart from hand-to-mouth infection, Shigellosis is transmitted through fomites, water and mechanical vectors like houseflies.

Staphylococci are species of Gram-positive bacteria that can cause a wide variety of infections in humans and other animals through infection or the production of toxins. Staphylococcal toxins are a common cause of food poisoning, as they can be produced in improperly-stored food. Staphylococci are also known to be a cause of bacterial conjunctivitis. 6% of the vampire population have had it, might it be because of the contaminated food or skin injuries caused by cutting.

Who is at risk for Staph infections?

Anyone can develop a Staph infection, although certain groups of people are at greater risk, including newborn infants, breastfeeding women, and people with chronic conditions such as diabetes, cancer, vascular disease, and lung disease. Injecting drug users, those with skin injuries or disorders, intravenous catheters, surgical incisions, and those with a weakened immune system due either to disease or a result of immune suppressing medications all have an increased risk of developing Staph infections.

Staph infections are contagious until the infection has resolved. Direct contact with an infected sore or wound, or with personal-care items such as razors, bandages, etc., are common routes of transmission.

Group A β-hemolytic streptococcus may cause an infection to the throat and skin. These may vary from very mild conditions to severe, life-threatening diseases.

Most Common:

  • impetigo, cellulitis, and erysipelas – infections of the skinwhich can be complicated by necrotizing fasciitis – skinfascia and muscle
  • strep throat AKA strep pharyngitis – pharynx

Less Common:

  • Bacteremia can be associated with these infections, but is not typical.
  • septic arthritis – joints
  • osteomyelitis – bones
  • vaginitis – vagina (more common in pre-pubescent girls)
  • meningitis* – meninges
  • sinusitis* – sinuses
  • pneumonia* – pulmonary alveolus

Total number who are infected  is 11% but the procentage might be much higher because of the number of 12%  sinusitis, strep throat 18% and pneumonia 12% cases, that added together makes 42%. It means we might have higher risk to get streptococc infections during our lifetime and we should know how to prevent such bacteria.

35% of the individuals havent had any of the infections listed above, that is a good indication, but it also can mean, that some of them didnt know that they had strept.inf during some of the illnesses listed above.

Which of the following viral infections have you had or been diagnosed?

Chickenpox 46 35%
Diphteria 0 0%
Hepatitis A 1 1%
Hepatitis B 0 0%
Hepatitis C 0 0%
Measles 8 6%
Mononucleosis 4 3%
Common flu 51 39%
Mumps 7 5%
Rubella/German Measles 3 2%
West Nile Virus 0 0%
None 8 6%
Other 2 2%

Most common infections where common flu 39% and  chickenpox  35%.  I was expecting that, because these are the most common infections.

Chickenpox is a highly contagious disease caused by primary infection with varicella zoster virus (VZV).Chickenpox is an airborne disease which spreads easily through coughing or sneezing by ill individuals or through direct contact with secretions from the rash. After a chickenpox infection, the virus remains dormant in the body’s nerve tissues. The immune system keeps the virus at bay, but later in life, usually as an adult, it can be reactivated and cause a different form of the viral infection called shingles (scientifically known as herpes zoster). Varicella is highly communicable, with an infection rate of 90% in close contacts.

The common cold  (also known as nasopharyngitisrhinopharyngitisacute coryza,] head cold, or simply a cold, common flu) is a viral infectious disease of the upper respiratory tract which primarily affects the nose. The common cold is a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract. The most commonly implicated virus is a rhinovirus (30–80%), a type of picornavirus with 99 known serotypes. Others include: human coronavirus (~15%),. influenza viruses (10-15%),adenoviruses (5%), human parainfluenza viruses, human respiratory syncytial virus, enterovirusesother than rhinoviruses, and metapneumovirus. Frequently more than one virus is present. In total over 200 different viral types are associated with colds.

Also I added hepatitis B and C to the list to see, if there is any vampire who is infected by these two, because of the higher risk, especially to sanguinarinas.

Either donors are checked deeply or there might be some kind of immunity to it, but it cannot be proven. Also there can be a change that most of the vamps, where just lucky and didnt feed from infected humans.

Other infections  got very low percentage so they show very little interaction with our immune systems: fecal-oral hepatitis A (1%), measles (6%), mononucleosis (3%), mumps (5%), rubella (2%).

Which of the rare illness/disease have you had or been diagnosed?

None 50 72%
Other 19 28%

Other illnesses marked:2-rocky mountain spotted fever, Noonan syndrome, Addison`s disease,  antiphosolipid antibody syndrome, lupus, (2)fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, mineral anemia-extreme problem with absorbing iron, calcium and magnesium, vitamin C build up in body, depression(actually not rare), scoliosis, narcolepsia, Henoch-Schönlein Purpura, thalassemia, bening intracranial hypertension,  restless leg syndrome, astma, (2)endometriosis.

Do you have some kind of allergies (food, skin etc)?

Very interesting results, as over half of the vampires dosent have any allergies, but it dosent mean, that their not allergic to something, sometimes we`re half tolerant to some foods, so that we might or might not show signs of distress.

It may indicate that we`re very sensitive toward our food sources and environment.

Phynx Cat comment, that I didnt know about: Also, gut bacteria will change with a change in diet, as well – this will affect how well things are or are not tolerated. Beans, for example. My gut can digest beans no problem. My husband’s gut, OTOH…. let’s just say, him and beans? Not so good. I grew up eating a lot of stuff with beans, he didn’t. The microbiome can impact how things are tolerated.

HAVE ALLERGIES 33 (58,92%)  divided into:

Food related allergies 23 (27,08%) (lactose intolerance; mushrooms,  nuts, berries, carbohydrates, vegetables, citruses. Only 3 times where mentioned meat products, one was a psi vampire, one tantric vampire and one sanguinarian.

Might indicate that most of the food related allergies with sanguinarians might happen because they have a little or none of the enzymes in their gut, that most of the humans have.

Lactose intolerance. (MILK PRODUCTS) Individuals have insufficient levels of lactase, an enzyme that catalyzes hydrolysis of lactose into glucose and galactose, in their digestive system. In most cases this causes symptoms which may include abdominal bloating and cramps, flatulence, diarrhea, nausea, borborygmi (rumbling stomach), or vomiting after consuming significant amounts of lactose. Some studies have produced evidence that milk consumption by lactose intolerant individuals may be a significant cause of inflammatory bowel disease.

Carbohydrate intolerance (FRUITS, MILK; VEGETABLES; GRAIN AND STARCH PRODUCTS) is the inability of the body to completely process the nutrient carbohydrate (a classification that includes sugars and starches) into a source of energy for the body, usually because of the deficiency of an enzyme needed for digestion. Carbohydrates are the primary source of energy and, along with fats and proteins, one of the three major nutrients in the human diet. Carbohydrates are classified according to their structure based on the number of basic sugar, orsaccharide units they contain.

A monosaccharide is the simplest carbohydrate and called a simple sugar. Simple sugars include glucose (the form in which sugar circulates in the blood), fructose (found in fruit and honey), and galactose (produced by the digestion of milk). These simple sugars are important because they can be absorbed by the small intestine. Two simple sugars linked together make a disaccharide. The disaccharide sugars present in the diet are maltose (a product of the digestion of starch), sucrose (table sugar), and lactose (the sugar in milk). These disaccharides must be broken down by enzymes into two simple sugars so that they can be absorbed by the intestine. Polysaccharides are much more complex carbohydrates made up of many simple sugars, the most important of which are glycogen, which is stored in the liver, and starch. The enzymes lactase, maltase, and isomaltase (or sucrase) are needed to break down the disaccharides; when one or more is inadequate, the result is carbohydrate intolerance.

As most of the vampires had lactose or carbodhydrate intolerance, it indicates, that they might not have enough or at all some specific enzymes, especially amylase, lactase and diastase.

 – breaks down carbohydrates, starches, and sugars which are prevalent in potatoes, fruits, vegetables, and many snack foods

  • lactase – breaks down lactose (milk sugars)
    • diastase – digests vegetable starch
    • sucrase – digests complex sugars and starches
    • maltase – digests disaccharides to monosaccharides (malt sugars)
    • invertase – breaks down sucrose (table sugar)
    • glucoamylase – breaks down starch to glucose
    • alpha-glactosidase – facilitates digestion of beans, legumes, seeds,
roots, soy products, and underground stems

Meat products where mentioned only 3 times, especially interesting that one of the sanguinarian had it too. To digest meat you need lipase and proteases.

protease – breaks down proteins found in meats, nuts, eggs, and cheese

  • pepsin – breaks down proteins into peptides
    • peptidase – breaks down small peptide proteins to amino acids
    • trypsin – derived from animal pancreas, breaks down proteins
    • alpha – chymotrypsin, an animal-derived enzyme, breaks down proteins
    • bromelain – derived from pineapple, breaks down a broad spectrum of proteins, has anti-inflammatory properties, effective over very wide pH range
    • papain – derived from raw papaya, broad range of substrates and pH, works well breaking down small and large proteins

lipase – breaks down fats found in most dairy products, nuts, oils, and meat

cellulase – breaks down cellulose, plant fiber; not found in humans

This might suggest that vampire (especially hybrid and sanguinarians) really need a specific diet to stay healthy, because their body cannot digest other energy sources.

There is diet called paleolithic diet, that 80% consists of meat. Some extreme cases of this diet are meant for those who have extreme sensitivity and can only process animal meat, blood and fat like Derek Nance from Kentucky.

First popularized in the mid-1970s by gastroenterologist Walter L. Voegtlin who suggested that following a diet similar to that of the Paleolithic era would improve a person’s health. In 1975, he self-published The Stone Age Diet: Based on In-depth Studies of Human Ecology and the Diet of Man, in which he argued that humans are carnivorous animals. He noted that the ancestral Paleolithic diet was that of a carnivore, consisting chiefly of fats and protein, with small amounts of carbohydrates. His dietary prescriptions were based on his own medical treatments of various digestive problems—namely, colitis, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome and indigestion.
The Paleolithic diet consists of foods that can be fished and hunted, such as seafood and meat (including offal), and foods that can be gathered, such as eggs, fruits, herbs, insects, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, spices, and vegetables. The meats recommended for consumption are preferably free of food additives, such as wild game meats and grass-fed beef, since they contain higher levels of omega-3 fats compared with grain-produced domestic meats. Food groups that advocates claim were rarely or never consumed by humans before the Neolithic agricultural revolution are excluded from the diet, mainly dairy products, grains, legumes (e.g., beans and peanuts), processed oils, refined sugar, and salt.
According to certain proponents of the Paleolithic diet, practitioners should derive about 56%–65% of their food energy from animal foods and 36%–45% fromplant foods. They recommend a diet high in protein (19%–35% energy) and relatively low in carbohydrates (22%–40% energy), with a fat intake (28%–58% energy) similar to or higher than that found in Western diets.

Around how old are your oldest (vampiric or human) relatives?

Dont know,unknown, no answer)=12,32%

Here you can notice that larger group of the elders are between 71-90 and even 91-110 has a higher number then usually it is in population. Meaning there is a high change that our genetics allow us to live longer. Not necessarily very healthy by that age, but still.

Did your mother had during her pregnancy(expecting you) some kind of illness, viral-or bacterial illness?

In this question I wanted to find out, could there be some kind of viral or bacterial influence, that can change biochemical balance or even genetical information of fetus.

No, she had not=64%

I dont know I dont have contact with my mother=25%

Yes, she had=11% (dysentery, bronchitis, nausea cause unknown, severe blood clotting, diabetes, high-blood pressure, blood incompatibility with fetus,

Peron, who`s mother had during pregnancy dysentery and bronchitis, had further in life: fibromyalgia and lactose and some of the meat intolerance. Although there where also some persons, who also suffered various allergies, but who`s mothers didnt had any of the complications during their pregnancies.

Peron, who`s mother had during pregnancy nausea, had further in life: iron-deficiency anemia.

Peron, who`s mother had during pregnancy severe blood clotting,  had further in life: restless leg syndrome, latex allergie.

Peron, who`s mother had during pregnancy diabetes, high-blood pressure, blood incompatibility with fetus, had further in life:  2-rocky mountain spotted fever, asthma,  degenerative disc disease, diabetes. Diabetes is mostly genetic disease, when one of your parents have it, there is very high percentage that in some age it will occure in children too.

Do you know what was the cause of the death of your (vampiric or human) oldest relatives?

graph 4

Dont know 32 46%
Other 37 54%

Causes of death:

old age=10,9%

all kind of cancer=12,3%

strokes and heart diseases=13,6%

still living=4,10%

Alzheimer`s= 4,10%

other causes=4,4%

Higher percentage got cancer and strokes and heart diseases, both are very common cause of death among both elderly and middle age people.

Do you know has any of your (vampiric or human) oldest relatives had following diseases?

Alzheimer’s disease 10 14%
Dementia 9 13%
Huntington’s Disease 1 1%
Parkinson’s disease 3 4%
None 28 41%
Dont know 9 13%
Other 9 13%

Alzheimer’s disease (AD), also known in medical literature as Alzheimer disease, is the most common form of dementia. There is no cure for the disease, which worsens as it progresses, and eventually leads to death.AD is classified as a neurodegenerative disorder. The cause for most Alzheimer’s cases is still mostly unknown except for 1% to 5% of cases where genetic differences have been identified. Several competing hypotheses exist trying to explain the cause of the disease

Around 0.1% of the cases are familial forms of autosomal  (not sex linked) dominant inheritance, which usually have an onset before age 65] This form of the disease is known as early onset familial Alzheimer’s disease.

The oldest, on which most currently available drug therapies are based, is the cholinergic hypothesis, which proposes that AD is caused by reduced synthesis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine.

In 1991, the amyloid hypothesis postulated that extracellular beta-amyloid (Aβ) deposits are the fundamental cause of the disease.

The tau hypothesis is the idea that tau protein abnormalities initiate the disease cascade.

I wanted to see how much of older vampire relatives where suffering from Alzheimer`s disease and dementia, result was 27%, so I was trying to figure out what might cause this. The vampires who participated had herpes 2%, cold sores 8% and genital herpes 6%. As one of the theory is that Herpes simplex virus might cause it I calculated how much of them are infected, got 16%. So it might give a hint, that it might be because of the virus, but it cant be only reason.

Other theory is that the lack of iron, zinc and ionic copper might be the cause of AD, well some vampires are iron-anemic, but this might also apply that when we, vampires grow older our body needs more iron, zinc and copper and if we stop feeding or dont feed enough result might be AD.

Third theory, a lot of vampires lack vitamin D in their system, its because most of them avoid sunlight, that makes their body to produce vit-D, food related vitamin D is not so well absorbed as skin made vitamin D3.

Researchers have found that there is a link between vitamin D and your brain. Receptors for vitamin D have been found in many parts of the brain, which means that vitamin D is acting in some way in your brain and may have an influence on the way you think, learn, and act.

In general, research from many studies has shown that Alzheimer’s disease and dementia is more common in people who have low levels of vitamin D in their body.  However, there haven’t been many good quality experiments that would be able to show clearly whether low vitamin D levels cause Alzheimer’s disease. More research is needed to give a clearer answer about whether taking a vitamin D supplement can help prevent or treat Alzheimer’s disease. So to prevent a change to get AD, vampires should be recommended to take at least double if not tipple dose  vit-D orally.

Phynx Cat comment, that I didnt know about:
I’ve been reading a few things that indicate alzheimers MAY eventually be considered something like “diabetes of the brain” – so it’s possible that folks on a high carb diet are the ones most prone to alzheimers.

Huntington’s disease (HD) is a neurodegenerative genetic disorder that affects muscle coordination and leads to cognitive decline and behavioral symptoms. It typically becomes noticeable in mid-adult life.  Mostly proven to be genetic. Vampire older relatives effected by this disease  1%.

Parkinson’s disease (PD also known as idiopathic or primary parkinsonismhypokinetic rigid syndrome/HRS, or paralysis agitans) is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system.Parkinson’s disease in most people is idiopathic (having no specific known cause). However a small proportion of cases, can be attributed to known genetic factors. Other factors have been associated with the risk of developing PD, but no causal relationships have been proven. Antioxidants, such as vitamins C and D, have been proposed to protect against the disease but results of studies have been contradictory and no positive effect has been proven.

There are a number of risk-modifying factors for Parkinson’s disease:

  • Low uric acid levels in the blood: Uric acid acts as an antioxidant in the brain, where it could affect risk of PD.
  • Red meat consumption: This food increases uric acids, which could reduce risk of PD.

Two studies of vitamin D and PD indicate that:

  • In southeastern United States, people with PD have lower vitamin D blood levels than those without PD.
  • In Finland, higher vitamin D levels  were associated with reduced the risk of developing PD by two-thirds. This result was noted at a 29-year follow-up. However, the usefulness of a single blood measurement loses predictive value as time increases.

This time 4% of vampires older relatives had PD, could it be the cause of the same genetic anomalia or lack of vitamin D in their diet.

How is/was your older (vampiric or human) relatives health?

graph 5

Very good 14 20%
Good 18 26%
Normal 24 35%
Bad 12 17%
Very bad 1 1%

Total percentage of very good, good and normal is 81. Thats a higher number then older people usually have, meaning there is a bigger change of us vampire to be healthy and productive until the last years of our lives.

How is your health?

Very good 15 22%
Good 22 32%
Normal 23 33%
Bad 8 12%
Very bad 1 1%

Total percentage of very good, good and normal is 87%. Meaning a much higher then middle aged and young people usually have. Might be because of your genetical background ~ higher tolerance to diseases and better immunity system.

Have you even broken your bone(s)?

Yes, once 19 28%
Yes, multiple times 6 9%
No, never 43 62%
Dont know 1 1%

Only once had broken a bone 28% of vampires, multiple times broke bones 9% of the vampires, this means that the total who had broken their bones is 37%. This is a quite high percentage. Other 62% answered that they have never broken a bone and 1% didnt know, where they broken a bone or not.

Getting enough vitamin D and calcium are two of the best things you can do to keep your bones healthy. If you avoid sunlight and cannot digest milk products, meaning your lactose intolerant, it means your in very high risk to have osteoporosis, weakness of bones and getting fractures by falling.

These two nutrients work together to make you less likely to break a bone or get osteoporosis.

Phynx Cat comment, things I didnt know about:
Missing one. 🙂 the K-complex. Reference literature from the Weston A Price foundation for details.

The K-complex is actually the best thing, IMO. I started taking a K-complex last year. Since then, I’ve lost two tooth fillings (one of them for an old root canal site!), and the teeth aren’t bothering me at all, so I haven’t been to the dentist – and it’s been months and months since they fell out.

Prior to adding the K-complex, if i had a filling fall out? I had to book an appointment within the month due to unreasonable pain. So yes, i can chalk up the difference to adding the K-complex.

How Can You Get Vitamin D and Calcium?

You can get calcium from dairy foods such as milk, cheese, and yogurt. Calcium is also naturally found in plant foods including broccoli, kale, and Chinese cabbage. Some foods have added calcium, like orange juice and breakfast cereals.

Most adults can get the recommended 1000 mgs over the course of a day by eating a packet of fortified oatmeal, a cup of calcium-fortified orange juice, a cup of yogurt and half a cup of cooked spinach.

Many foods have vitamin D, including:

  • Salmon, tuna, sardines, mackerel, and shrimp
  • Egg yolks
  • Beef liver
  • Mushrooms
  • Cod and fish liver oils
  • Foods with added vitamin D, such as milk and some cereals, yogurts, and orange juices

The average adult would get more than a day’s recommended vitamin D by eating just one small can of pink salmon.

Another source of vitamin D is the sun. Your body makes vitamin D from sunlight. But you need to wear sunscreen to protect your skin, and that blocks your body from making vitamin D. Also, it can be hard to make enough vitamin D from the winter sun, depending on where you live.

How many relatives do you know in your family, are vampires or you suspect they could be?

None, only me 33 48%
Other 36 52%

dont know=2

5 or more=5

one in every generation=1

Over half of a vampire population in this research had one or more relatives who where or where suspected to be vampires, that is statistically high number. What could be a reason for it? Your vampirism be genetically inherited?  There is not proof of it, but it is very likely possible.

Has there been cases in your family or among your relatives, when a person who has been said to be incurable have been cured somehow unknown to science? Or been clinically dead and been “ressurected” from death? Or have lived longer then doctors expected? Or healed from major injury without any disabilities remaining?

Yes, this had happened once (or twice) 24 35%
Yes, this had happened many times 8 12%
No, it havent happened 18 26%
I dont know 19 28%

Unknown to science, this is a world best to describe things, that some say are miracles, others say, theoretically not proven “maybe” scientific anomalies.

People, who answered that it have happened once or twice or multiple times is half of the those, who havent had happened this to them, or they do not remember it.

Could there be some kind of mechanism or immune system key that helps vampire to fight of deadly diseases or kind “restart the system”. Healing compounds that human bodies consist of are not fully understood, some say it so complex, that nothing cannot be 100% accurate.

Also some say it is done by energetic charges, like we know, all cells need ATP, some cells find the way how to higher the intake of ATP in critical situations. When cells have more power, then can reproduce or heal faster. Could this be the key. We might not ever understand, why or how this is possible in vampire families but this is a fact. Its too common to be ignored.

Is your mother a vampire?

No, shes not 26 36%
Yes, she is 13 18%
I suspect she might be 15 21%
I dont know 16 22%
Other 3 4%

Reading myths about vampires I was surprised to see that there are lot of stories of  female vampires in folklore giving birth to children who are vampires. So I wanted to see, how many mothers are vampires or their children suspect that they might be.

There where 18% vampires sure that their mother is a vampire, 21% suspected that she might be, 22% didnt know what to think. And 36% was sure that their mother is not a vampire. Also there where some (4%) who didnt know anything about their mothers, because they where adopted.
As far back as the 24th century B.C., the people of Babylon and then later Assyria supposed that vampires were demonic beings who were not of this plane of existence. Therefore, in order for them to interact and assault humans, the demons had to possess corpses. As an even greater insult to humanity, and as an example of how evil these beings were, the demons specifically chose to inhabit the bodies of women. To these ancient people, women were considered to be the living symbol of life, and this concept was a near- sacred thing—their menstrual cycles, which were in rhythm with the cycles of the moon, were linked to the planting and harvesting of crops. Nothing in their eyes could have been seen as being more perverse than the very symbols of life and life-giving beings turning into violent monstrosities that sought to consume the flesh and blood.

Myths around the world. Africa: ALUKAH A was a specific demon from ancient Babylonian lore that was absorbed into Hasidic lore There, she became a SUCCUBUS and the mother of two demon daughters— Deber (pestilence) and Keeb (smiter), the siblings who cry “Give” in the Book of Proverbs.

India: APSARAS  of India are female vampiric celestial creatures. They are known for their goddesslike beauty and charms, artistic talents, and excessive love of wine and dice, as well as their love of dance. Apsaras are sent to earth to defile virtuous men, particularly those seeking to become even more virtuous. Stories say they make for an excellent wife and mother.

South-America: CIVATATEO were Aztec vampires, the most vampiric of all the Aztec deities. But that’s not all; some also believe that they would mate with human men, giving birth to vampire children.
Ancient Babylonia and Sumeria: ARDAT-LILE  will marry a man with the intent of wreaking havoc in his life. It is known for its ravenous sexual appetite. She is being able to harvest some of the semen in order to give birth to demonic children.
The ardat- lile is no doubt an early predecessor of the LILITH myth—part SUCCUBUS and part storm goddess.

Is your father a vampire?

No, his not 35 49%
Yes, he is 2 3%
I suspect he might be 15 21%
I dont know 17 24%
Other 3 4%

Reading myths about vampires I was surprised to see that there are stories of male and female vampires in folklore giving birth to children who are vampires. So I wanted to see, how many fathers are vampires or their children suspect that they might be. The sign that there are 24% who think that their father is a vampire, gives a interesting thought, could vampirism be somehow hereditary or genetical or is there something else in our bodies that gives us a possibility to give our children a vampirism?

Old myths about male vampires, who had vampiric offsprings with human women:

North-America has story of JUMPLIN. Gypsies have story of DHAMPIR, VAMPIR, LAMPIJEROVIC or VAMPIJEROVIC, all children of vampire male and human female. BHOOTUMS from India who seduced indian women. NOSFERATU from Romania who copulated with women. (The male nosferatu can get human women pregnant. The child the results out of this is born a was destined to either become a witch or a live vampire (the MOROII). INCUBBUS from myths from many european countries raped women. The legends also said that the sperm stolen by the succubus was given to an incubus, her male counterpart, who implanted it in the women the incubus seduced in the same manner, the resulting pregnancy delivering either an incubus or succubus. CALLICANTZAROI are legendary in Greeze and old Greek, the male Callicantzaros is apt to kidnap a mortal woman to bring her back with him to the underworld as his bride and have children with her who also became callicantzaroi.  ZMEU from Moldavia was a vampiric figure that took the form of a flame and entered the room of a young girl or widow. Once inside, the flame became a man who seduced her. In post-medieval Europe, belief in INCUBUS and SUCCUBUS attacks were commonly accepted. Naturally, it stands to reason that if a human is having sexual relations with a demon, willfully or not, there is bound to eventually be offspring from such an unholy union. These demonic hybrid progeny were called CAMBION and for the
most part, developed as normally as any other child would.
